Team guide — Sports Y Más Deportes

Everything needed day to day, on one page. If something isn't here or doesn't work, ask Brady in Mensajes (section 3). That's what it's for.

This guide always lives at panel.cancha.dev/help. The Spanish version, which is the main one, is at panel.cancha.dev/ayuda.

1. The two places you work

You only need to remember one address: sportsymasdeportes.com/equipo. Both ways in are there, each with its own button.

They are two different systems, so each asks you to sign in on its own, but both with the same email and no password. The panel's menu also links to the editor, as «Editor de la página». Only people who write news need the editor; if you need it and don't have access, ask in Mensajes.

2. Getting in

The team panel

There is no password or code. You sign in with your own email address.

The first time, you get an email titled "Te agregaron al panel de Sports Y Más Deportes" ("You've been added…" if your language is English). Tap the button in it, then Entrar on the page that opens. The invitation works for 7 days.

After that:

  1. Open panel.cancha.dev/operador on your phone or computer.
  2. Type your email and tap Mandarme el enlace.
  3. Open the email that arrives, tap the button, then Entrar.

Each link works once, for 30 minutes. If it doesn't arrive, check spam. Once you're in, the session lasts a month on that device.

Adding someone to the team (admins only)

  1. In the panel, tap Equipo.
  2. Under Agregar a alguien, enter their name (as the team knows them), email and language.
  3. Tap Agregar y mandar invitación. They get the invitation email.

From Equipo you can also send someone another link, change their details, or pause them if they should no longer get in (what they wrote stays).

The website editor

There is no password. You sign in with your own phone's fingerprint, face or PIN (a passkey).

  1. Brady sends you an invite link on WhatsApp.
  2. Open it on the phone or computer you'll always use, and register your fingerprint or face right there.
  3. After that: open the editor address, tap Sign in with Passkey, done.

New phone? Ask Brady for a new invite link.

3. Mensajes — writing to the team

To write to one person, several, or the whole team: ask for something new, report something broken, ask how to do something, or anything else. Brady answers right there.

You write under your own name: the panel knows who you are because you signed in with your email.

The first time you sign in, the panel takes you to Avisos por correo (email notifications). Choose what lands in your inbox when someone writes. If you want none, untick them all.

To write a new message:

  1. In Mensajes, tap Nuevo mensaje.
  2. Under Para (to), choose Todo el equipo (the whole team), or Escoger personas (choose people) and tap who it's for — you can pick several. A message to particular people is seen only by the people in it, nobody else on the team. (Brady, who maintains the system, can read messages when something needs fixing.)
  3. Give it a short Asunto (subject).
  4. Write the Mensaje. If something is broken, say what you were doing and on which page.
  5. Tap Enviar.

Or go to Equipo and tap Escribirle next to someone's name: the message opens with that person already picked.

If something isn't working, write it here, not on WhatsApp. That way Brady sees all of it, with the time and the page it happened on, and the answer stays for anyone who asks the same thing.

Write in your own language. Whoever reads English gets English, and whoever reads Spanish gets Spanish; every message is translated for the reader automatically. Under each translated message is Ver lo que escribió, the original, in case the translation is off.

To reply: open the conversation, type in the box at the bottom, tap Responder. When something is done, tap Marcar como resuelto. If it comes back, write in the same conversation and it reopens.

Your email notifications can be changed any time under Mensajes → Mis avisos por correo:

Nobody else on the team sees your address.

4. Marking broadcasts

Facebook doesn't say what each broadcast was, and the website's El programa page and the archive's filters depend on it.

The system already guesses most of them. Games by their title ("vs", "segundo tiempo", "final") and El programa by its Tuesday-evening slot. You just confirm.

  1. In the panel, tap Marcar transmisiones. The newest is on top.
  2. Each one has a label:
    • Partido · sin confirmar or Programa semanal · sin confirmar — the system guessed. The line underneath says why.
    • Sin marcar — the system couldn't tell. It's yours.
  3. Tap what it was: Es El programa, Es un partido, Es un reportaje de negocio, or No es ninguna de estas. Even when the guess was right, tapping makes it confirmed, and the system never changes it again.
  4. If the name came out badly (or says (sin título)), fix it in Nombre de la transmisión before tapping. It's what the public sees on the site.

Business features are never guessed. A person always marks them, because that's where the advertising-disclosure rules apply.

5. Leagues and teams

A broadcast's league

Under each broadcast without a league, the system sometimes asks ¿Será de alguna de estas ligas? and shows buttons, each with its reason: the title names it, those teams already appeared in that league, or it aired the same day right after another broadcast in that league.

The more leagues get marked, the better it guesses: every confirmed league teaches it which teams play there.

Teams

Teams aren't registered anywhere. They live in the names of broadcasts and news. So:

6. Writing a news story on the website

In the website editor (section 2):

  1. Tap Noticias, then Agregar nuevo (Add New, the + button).
  2. Fill in the Título (required), the Resumen (two or three lines) and the Cuerpo de la nota.
  3. Cover photo: tap Seleccionar imagen → Subir imagen and choose the photo.
  4. In the right-hand panel, tick one category (Fútbol local, Torneos, La tienda or Comunidad) and, if the story is about one sport, that sport in the sports list. Choose the byline.
  5. Tap Guardar (Save). Nobody can see it yet.
  6. Tap Publicar (Publish). Now it's live.

Saving isn't publishing. The Publicar button only appears after the first save. And every time you fix a published story: Guardar, then Publicar again.

To take a story off the site without deleting it: open it and tap Despublicar (Unpublish).

7. The store's details, and the "live" banner

In the editor, Ajustes del sitio (there is one entry — open it, never create another):

After changing anything: Guardar and, if it appears, Publicar.

8. What NOT to do

In the website editor:

In anything you write, anywhere:

9. When something doesn't work

More detail on the website editor (photos, permissions, every field in Ajustes): ask Brady for the website guide.
